Memorial CD
Just to let you know how things are coming along. The song is written and we expect to be learning and rehearsing it next weekend. It will be recorded at Steve Loveday’s studio when we are ready and I’m sorting out the pressing. It will be a professionally produced album and an initial run of 1000 copies produced as a CD with an 8 page booklet shrink wrapped and bar coded. The CD will contain the following tracks:- Never Let Go, my personal tribute recorded by Blue Haze and a couple of guest singers, Wish You Were Here (Blue Haze) and a song I was working on with Ash. I was working on a song to finish off the comedy nights in Yarmouth called Show’s Over. Ash was even going to have a crack on the vocals too. It’s a song about life and how after the show’s over, there will be another one, somewhere else another time.
The brilliant Kyrbgrinder has also given us the rights to include My Heart Bleeds on the album and I’m working on another TBA. Let’s just say if it all comes off, we might need to press more than 1000!
It will contain an 8 page booklet which the first two pages will be about the boys, and the rest will contain pictures of Ash & Luke and pictures and info of the artists and the lyrics and track details. Anything you feel should be included, feel free to contact me. I would like to see this as a happy memory of them and although this is a memorial CD, I want to keep it as cheerful as possible.
I’m going to need some help here. Anyone with a bit of time to spare to do press releases etc, sorting out the pub in Streatham for a CD fundraiser gig with Blue Haze would be a great help, you can check our dates from our Blue Haze page but we can only do weekends. Photos. I will need some pictures. I could just lift some from here but I will need them original size so they can be printed more clearly.
Please send me a PM for my phone number if you can help out. This has been a tough project so far and I’ve got so much more to do with it before we can get it recorded. It will be recorded at Steve Loveday’s studio. He has done loads of music for TV like Friends, Buffy, Top Gear and hundreds more and he is also the lead guitarist with Medicine Hat and Classic Rock Tribute and he’s doing mates rates. All the best to you all, Paul x

looking forward to the CD!!!
